I have loved photography for a very long time. It all started back in college when after just a class or two I was hooked! I can remember spending many hours in the dark room developing my Tri-x and Plus-x film. Anyway, completing college and pursuing my ‘career’ put a long hold on my photographic journey. After many years, I decided it was time to jump back into the art I loved so much. My old Minolta XD-ll had long since become an antique so I went on the hunt for a new camera – a nice digital model (especially since film was becoming hard to find). After much research and hand-wringing, I finally purchased a camera. My new Canon and I are getting along very well. Now the many hours spent ‘developing’ my photographs are done in a comfortable chair and a nicely lit room. No more dark rooms and enlargers for me.
Living in Chicago, I am naturally drawn to the many urban landscapes that surround me. My exploration of “urban-scapes” is always front and center but I am also very drawn to the many different settings I encounter as I travel. From the canyons of the Western United States to the Fjords of Norway, there are wonderful scenes just waiting to be captured. That is my journey.
I continue to take classes and constantly work at honing my skills. I hope you enjoy my current images and stay tuned for more as I continue to perfect my art.
